Travel + Leisure, the New York-based travel magazine, announced the “World’s Best Awards”. Istanbul ranked 10th in the list of the best cities in the world and 2nd in the list of best European cities. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality shared the news from their social media accounts.

The magazine has been determining the world’s best destinations since 1995 and releases them every year in July. Elections are determined by a questionnaire among magazine readers and followers, along with airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators and other travel suppliers.
MEXICO’S OAXACA CITY IS THE BEST ONE
Mexico is reflected as one of the biggest winners of this year. Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende were among the two best cities in the world, followed by Hoi An, Vietnam, which won in 2019. While Chiang Mai, Thailand and Florence, Italy completed the top five, Mexico City came in the 11th place after Istanbul.
